Dr. Brands will answer many questions about the perils of presidents trying to be great: Why should presidents not run for reelection?  Why should presidents not strive to be the next Lincoln or FDR?

Dr. Brands specializes in Presidential History and has written extensively about many of our nation's presidents, including Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Andrew Jackson, and most recently, Ulysses Grant.

Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.

All attendees who sign up for the CPH emailing list at the event will be entered into a drawing to win three of Dr. Brands' books!  Copies of Dr. Brands's new book, The Man Who Saved the Union: Ulysses Grant in War and Peace will be available for sale, and the author will be available for signing.

The Meadows Museum is located on the southern edge of the Southern Methodist University campus, on Bishop Boulevard, one block north of Mockingbird Lane.
